Guest Speaker
Joanne Thiessen Martens, PhD Student, Department of Soil Science, University of Manitoba
Joanne Thiessen Martens has worked in organic farming research and extension for many years at the U of M and elsewhere, drawing together research results and on-farm experiences to develop guidelines for organic farmers. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Manitoba, looking at phosphorus dynamics and the potential for struvite as a fertilizer in organic systems.
